Week 10 Diamond Notes

The Texas Diamond Notes will focus on highlighting some of the top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Tuesday/Wednesday of the high school season that had impressive weeks during their team's games. Special thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.
+ Santiago Montes, P, (Edinburg Vela, 2026):
Weekly summary: Threw 6.2 innings, allowed no runs, two hits, three walks, while punching out 18 in a 9-0 win.
+ Clayton Ohl, P, (BF Terry, 2025):
Weekly summary: Seven-inning No-Hitter; two walks, eight strikeouts.
+ Collier Carroll, P, (JJ Pearce, 2026):
Weekly summary: He threw a seven inning No-Hitter; zero runs, three walks, four strikeouts vs Alice Coyotes. (.292 ERA, 48 IP, 5-1 Record, 2-No Hitters, 60 K, 15 BB, 4 R, 2 ER, 4 Shutouts on the season)
+ Carson Bailey, P, (JJ Pearce, 2024; Baylor commit):
Weekly summary: Pitched at Highland Park with Clayton Kershaw in attendance, and the district championship on the line; 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 11 K on the week.
+ Ryan Ott, P, (Arlington, 2024):
Weekly summary: Clinched a share of the district title with his performance. W, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 8 K, 1 BB on the week. (48.2 IP, 6-3, 38 H, 12 ER, 10 BB, 53 K, 1.726 ERA, .215 BAA, .986 WHIP on the season)
+ Kaden McCoy, P/3B, (Atascocita, 2024; Northwestern State commit):
Weekly summary: Kaden had a great game pitching, then hit 2 Homeruns late in the games. 1 on Tues and 1 on Friday against Summer Creek. 4-for-6 at the plate, 2 HR then pitched a complete game, allowing one run, and striking out seven. (Has 4 HR at the plate, and 63 K on the mound this year)
+ Ty Higginbotham, P, (Atascocita, 2026):
Weekly summary: Had a great game pitching and on Friday he hit a go ahead HR in top of 6th. CG, W, 11 K, 3 H, 1 R against Summer Creek. (75 strikeouts on the season)
+ Jace Patton, RHP, (Frisco Centennial, 2024; North Central Texas JC commit):
2-0, 12 IP, 9 K, 1 BB, 1 ER, 3 H, .073 BAA on the week. (61.2 IP, 7-2, 1.135 ERA, 81 K, .150 BAA on the season)
+ Brayden Montes, P, (Jesuit Dallas, 2025):
Weekly summary: Helped Jesuit clinch the No. 2 seed in District 7-6A with a regular season win vs. MacArthur (Monday), then threw six innings of three-hit, one-run ball vs. Highland Park in a seeding tiebreaker on Saturday. 12 IP, 2 GS, 2 Wins, 9 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 15 K on the week.

+ Dylan Muniz, C, (Cinco Ranch, 2026):
5-for-7, 1 2B, 2 RBI on the week.
+ Timothy Haynes, 1B/P, (Lubbock-Cooper, 2024; Midland JC commit):
Weekly summary: He was 3-for-4 with a 2-run HR, Grand Slam and 6 RBI in the District Championship game vs Abilene Wylie. He also got the win on the mound and had 13 strikeouts. 3-for-7, .429 AVG, 2 HR, 6 RBI on the week.
+ Conner Cramer, 3B, (Oak Ridge, 2024):
Weekly summary: 3 doubles during district clinching game against Willis. .600 ,6-for-10, 3 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R on the week.
